Some skin Conditions that your newborn may born with

There may be some noticeable skin conditions in a new born and most of them do not affect them much later in life.

Here is the list of skin changes that may occur in your young infant matures:

  1. There is often a soft, fine hair called lanugo cover the baby’s skin, however, this covering should disappear after a few weeks.
  2. A newborn’s skin can be peeling, cracking or splotchy, but it’s normal for the baby and improves with the passage of time.
  3. Acne is also common in infants, but it disappears after a few months and doesn’t last more than that.
  4. Similarly in some babies, there are small red spots on forehead, lips, eyelids and neck .They occur due stretched blood vessels and disappear within 18 months.
